Where is the KOA Convention Center?
Just 10 minutes off of I-65 in Bowling Green, KY! Off of exit 22, follow Three Springs Road past Flea Land and the Aviation Museum. The KOA Campgrounds will be marked by a few yellow flags on your left, and the Convention Center is the building next to the parking area and putt-putt.
How long is the event?
We rented the convention center for the entire day. We will be there the entire time, though we do not expect anyone else to make the same commitment! This event is meant to be as convenient as possible for our guests. If you only have five minutes, and you just want to swing by to say hello and congrats? Great! Have no other plans and want to to play board games with us for 6 hours? Great! Either way, we would love to see you!
Will there be any food?
There will be various snacks, drinks, and some desserts available, but full meals will not be provided. As this is an all day, casual drop-in-drop-out event, attendance is impossible to truly estimate for any given period of time which makes catering incredibly difficult. If you are staying a while, please feel free to leave and get lunch and come back afterwards, or bring something to eat with you!
Will there be anything for children to do?
Yes! There will be plenty for the little ones to do. There will be arts and crafts, board games for different age ranges, as well as various other indoor games available. If the weather is good, there are also plenty of outdoor activities available. These include putt-putt golf, a playground, a volleyball court and a "jumbo jumper pillow."
I didn't RSVP; can I still come?
Yes! We planned this event as a more casual, pop-by kind of event to accommodate every kind of schedule and availability. We do ask that if at all possible, you RSVP at least one day before the event so that we can ensure that we have enough snacks and drinks on hand, but if you weren't able to, you can still come!
Can I bring a plus one?
Yes! We ask that you RSVP for them, or send them the website link so that they can RSVP themselves, but anyone is welcome to come!
Is there going to be a wedding?
We will be eloping to the Smokey Mountains about two weeks before this celebration for a private marriage ceremony. This "celebration" event is our take on a reception: a gathering of loved ones and symbolic merging of our lives.
